Rose Watermable

Il y a bien longtemps que je n'ai pas fait un coup de "reprenons une vieille manucure pour la faire en version 2012", et comme l'autre jour j'avais trèèèès envie d'un watermable, j'ai décidé de retenter un de mes préférés de tous les temps. Je vous laisse d'abord savourer la version vintage.

 

 

 

 

 Alors en terme de watermable, il n'est pas trop mal, même si mon oeil de lynx voit matière à critique, je ne vais trop rien dire. Sur le coup, ce sont plutôt les photos qui sont pourraves, et surtout, mais ça j'admets qu'il faut être moi pour le voir, l'état de mes mains à l'époque. Bref, sans plus attendre, passons à la version 2012.

J'ai d'abord appliqué une base blanche, et ensuite j'ai sorti Fair Dinkum Pinkum, Meep-Meep-Meep, The One that Got Away et Lincoln Park After Dark, le tout chez OPI. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sur la main droite, allez comprendre pourquoi, il y a un doigt qui ne ressemble à aucun autre, mais j'aime bien quand même, on dirait une orchidée!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Et là, le super cliché pris au retardateur pour montrer les deux mains. C'est encore un poil flou, mais j'y suis presque!!

OPI Katy Perry Collection

Coucou! Alors, j'essaie de garder un équilibre entre les messages que j'ai en réserve et les nouveautés que j'ai reçues la semaine dernière, histoire de faire durer un peu le plaisir. Aujourd'hui, on parle "vieille" collection (=2011) mais j'espère que ça vous donnera envie de ressortir vos trésors de l'année passée.  Il y a quelques semaines, j'ai ressorti Not Like the Movies d'OPI dans la collection Katy Perry, et je me suis fait la réflexion que d'une part je n'avais jamais présente cette collection sur le blog, et d'autre part, elle méritait d'être remise en avant, vu que c'est pour moi une des plus belles de 2011. Ensuite, Bé en a remis une couche en portant The One That Got Away lors de notre rencontre, ça a fini de me motiver.

La collection Katy Perry compte quatre vernis, les deux que je viens de citer et deux qui sont à mi-chemin entre vernis et top-coat, Last Friday Night et Teenage Dream. D'expérience, je sais qu'ils peuvent être portés seul en 4/5 couches, mais après, il faut y aller au burin pour démaquiller les ongles. Je vous les présente donc en dégradé "à la Pshiiit" (double hommage puisque Last Friday Night est le vernis paillettes préféré de la demoiselle), en ton sur ton, avec le vernis Kiko 339 pour le bleu et mon chouchou Essie Topless & Barefoot pour le rose.

 

 

 

Comme vous pouvez le voir, ces deux vernis ont la même "formule", un mélange de paillettes de couleur et de paillettes holographiques dans une base transparente légèrement teintée.



Et enfin, pour finir de vous montrer la collection, voici The One That Got Away, un sublime framboise qui dans le flacon montre des reflets or voire vert, mais on ne les voit pas vraiment sur l'ongle.

 

 

 

Et une fois de plus, vous pouvez constater à quel point mon appareil photo déteste les vernis framboise/magenta, et qu'il les montre rouge... 

Sur les photos de Bé, on voit la vraie couleur, chez moi, on dirait du bordeaux :(

Essie Sure Shot

Hi girls! Remember me, the nail-blogger who used to post everyday? I really feel bad, my current life is filled with work, issues in my private life and sickness. Nothing major but little things that steal all my time. To finish the review of Essie Resort Collection for 2012, I have to show you a fuchsia/magenta polish, this didn't help: you know how hard those are to photograph for my camera, and I swear I've taken hundreds of pictures without ever managing to capture its true beauty.

In the bottle, you can see the blue undertone and the silver shimmer. On the nails, after an easy application and two coats, it looks like raspberry candy.

 

 

 

Sorry for the zombie hands on the last pics, but it was the only way to come closer to the true colour. No surprise here, I love this color (you can see how the bottle is already well emptied)! It could be my favourite from the collection, but as often, I'm even more in love with the one I didn't expect to like, the blue No More Film!! But all four of them are really pretty, with very easy application and super glossy finish.

I'm leaving tomorrow morning to go celebrate my birthday in Mickey Heaven, so no post before Sunday I'm afraid, but then I'll have plenty of things to tell you!!

Glittery NYE - Part I

Hi again! I've decided to finish reviewing all my glitter polishes before the year is over, because feisty times require feisty polishes. I hope to have the time to make a "favourite polishes of 2011" post before Sunday too! I broke down my remaining glitters in two part, the first three colours being more addressed to French girls since they are from (afaik) local brands, and the other three being international brands.

So today I'm showing you two polishes from Debby and one from LM Cosmetic.

First we have Debby Colorplay 38. When I got OPI Servin' Up Sparkle from the UK Glam Slam set, I was a bit disappointed: the mix of small and very large hexagonal glitter was quite hard to work with, so I rapidly sent it to another home. But I was still looking for a silver holographic 'top-coat' and it's quite natural that I picked this one (especially at 5,9 euros, buy one get one for 1 euro...). I don't have much more to say about it, it's nice and easy to work with, I guess it could be build up since what you see below is two coats and the coverage is already quite nice, but I have China Glaze Nova if I want to turn my nails into holo disco balls, so I clearly keep this one for layering. The holo effect is really good but as often, it's not with flash (last picture) that it appears most.

So if you read well, you know that I bought another Debby Colorplay polish for one euro after picking up  number 38. My choice ended up being number 153, a beautiful raspberry jelly with small and medium hex holo glitter. This one is a bit thicker than 38, due to the hex glitter, but still, it's quite nice to work with and cover wells at two coats. I will probably wear it for NYE since I just bought a lovely raspberry-coloured woollen dress.

Finally, I'm ending this first "end of year, end of glitters" post with a brand you already know well, LM Cosmetic, and the beautiful Cephee, n°28 from the Constellation Collection. It's a very interesting mix of very small gold, copper and purple glitter that gives it a super soft yet feisty look. You can see some VNL on the pics, but in real life, it's opaque in two coats.
