Hi girls! So, we're March 10th and in one week, it's St Patrick's Day. You know I'm very much into Celtic culture, so even if I don't really celebrate St Patrick's Day, I took the opportunity to do a series of Celtic/Irish nail-arts, starting today.
And for starters, I picked the nail-art I liked least! I found some Celtic water-decals on Ebay, very cheap and got them, thinking they would go well on a silver basis. So I took out Excalibur from A-england (kinda fitting for Celtic nail-art), and after two coats, I cut out the design (yeah, first bad point for those water-decals was that you have to cut them out) and applied them.
But while it's not really visible on picture, the outline was really showing, so I thought that top-coat would erase that, but it was actually the reverse, it made things worse.
So while I love the design and the colour, I'm really disappointed in those wd. I think I might try to paint the design myself one day, but I'm sure I won't use the remaining decals.

Vous savez que j'adore tout ce qui a trait à la culture celtique et même si je ne fête pas vraiment la St Patrick, j'ai saisi l'occasion pour faire une série de nail-art d'inspiration celtique/irlandaise, et ça commence aujourd'hui.
Ils me paraissaient parfaits pour mettre sur une base argent, donc j'ai sorti mon Excalibur de A-england (pour du nail art celtique, c'est parfait), et après deux couches, j'ai découpé les motifs (premier mauvais point pour les décals, il faut les découper) et je les ai appliqués.
Mais même si ça ne se voit pas trop en photo, en vrai, les bords ressortaient beaucoup, j'ai donc pensé que du top-coat effaceraient ça, mais en fait, c'était pire.
Donc même si j'adore le motif et la couleur, je suis déçue par la qualité de ces wd. Je crois que la prochaine fois, j'essaierai de dessiner le motif moi-même, mais je n'utiliserai pas les motifs restants.
very nice design indeed but I see what you mean when saying you can see the outline. It's a pity there's no konad plate for those. But I'm pretty sure you can draw the design yourself!
ReplyDeleteCeltic design are very rare on konad plates, it's a pity, but I do want to give it a try with my brush, we'll see how I fare :)

DeleteC'est vraiment pas mal, dis moi où as tu trouvé ses motifs ? Car j'ai vraiment un coup de coeur pour se dessin.
