Hi everyone! Today's message will be short and without pictures (if I can, I'll post some more pics from the holidays, but I can't promise). I'm quite pissed because for once the weather is bright and shiny (and crazy cold, but I don't mind - my skin does though), I have fantastic polishes waiting to be swatched, and my hands are a complete mess :(
My nails are breaking almost daily, those that hold grow at snail speed (the first I broke three weeks ago is barely 1mm long) and we have a sick kitty in the house that needs to take medication twice a day, so my hands are covered with scratches and bite-marks. The very cold weather is horrible to my skin and no matter how many times I moisturize my hands and nails (including a big amount right before going to bed and sleeping with gloves on), they look awful.
I have three sets of pictures left in my archives, I'll try to make them last a bit until my hands are fit for pictures again. In the meantime, I'll show you more holiday pics, and probably a couple of articles on winter nail- and handcare (not that my routine seems to be working very well right now, but never mind!!). Oh, and of course, I still want to commit to public reading my wishes and goals for 2012, even if we're already in February :p
My nails are breaking horribly as well! And so does the skin on my hands :P It's very very rough and partly red and sore. Do not like.
ReplyDeleteTry to put some cream on right before going to bed and wear gloves for the night (well, at least at the beginning, I usually take them off while sleeping :p). Any cotton gloves work fine, and it can make a real difference!
ReplyDeleteI actually have some gloves for that, so I might do that.
