OPI Katy Perry Collection

Coucou!

OPI Not Like the Movies

Hi girls!! I had planned to show you the jewels I won at Cherry's Shop Contest, with some matching manicures, unfortunately the pictures are trapped in my still-not-starting computer (and the repair guy doesn't return my phone-calls) so change of plans. Today I'm showing you a fantastic polish from OPI Katy Perry Collection, the only one I initially went for (even if I ended up buying them all), the multichrome Not Like the Movies. It's a dark green/teal/light green/mauve shapeshifter with spare tiny silver glitter. Its only drawback is opacity, three coats are needed. I took a gazillion pictures :)

October is Pink! OPI Teenage Dream Shattered

As the first pink for this month, it's quite normal that I wanted to use my OPI Pink Shatter, which was especially created for Breast Cancer Awereness. And the idea for the combo was actually suggested by an Ebay-shop that I saw proposing the two together! So, first step is OPI Teenage Dream from the Katy Perry collection. I hesitated a long time before getting it because I don't like large glitter and I had read everywhere that it was "pink with laaaaarge holo glitter". Well, that kind of large, I can live with. So here's Teenage Dream, one coat, over my franken "mannequin" nude (that I baptized "Bare Grace", get the reference if you can :p ). I kept one blurry pic on purpose to show the glitter, and those pics tell me that I still have to work on my direct sunlight pic-taking skills.

And then I applied one coat of pink shatter, and one coat of Seche Vite. Pink Shatter is really liquid, so it cracks super nicely and one coat of top-coat is enough for a smooth finish.

This last blurry pic shows quite well the real-life effect. If you look closely at my hands, you'll see the crackles and the two polishes, but on the whole, it looks like bright pink with crazy holo glitter. I love that combo, though I'm not sure I would wear it in October if it wasn't for the super warm and sunny summer weather we have right now (27°C, seriously??? gimme autumn, please!!).
Oh, and just for fun, here's a (not-so-much) mysterious sneak peek at something I received this morning that had me jumping all over the place and will be part of a special Wyrd Wednesday soon!!
